(Friday, June 5, 1970; during sessions for All Things Must Pass) — George Harrison began recording “If Not For You” and “Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll)” for the triple-disc album All Things Must Pass, his first release as a solo artist following the break-up of the Beatles, today at EMI Studio 3 in London.

Both tracks would be treated with overdubs during additional sessions for the album, which continued through October 1970.
