(Tuesday, October 20, 1970; during sessions for Ram) — Paul McCartney today recorded “When The Wind Is Blowing” at Columbia’s Studio B at 49 East 52nd Street in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, during sessions for Ram, his second album without The Beatles.
“When The Wind Is Blowing” was mixed July 8, 1971, and did not appear on Ram, but was released as part of a deluxe version of McCartney and Wings’ 1971 album Wild Life on Dec. 7, 2018.
The basic tracks for the Ram album, officially credited to Paul and Linda McCartney (McCartney’s wife), were taped through Nov. 20, 1970, with overdubs and mixing completed by May 1971.
