(Thursday, October 22, 1970; during sessions for Ram) — Paul McCartney today recorded “Rode All Night” at Columbia’s Studio B at 49 East 52nd Street in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, during sessions for Ram, his second album without The Beatles.

“Rode All Night,” which was mixed July 8, 1971, did not appear on the original release of Ram. It was finally released in 2012 as part of a deluxe version of the album.

The basic tracks for the Ram album, officially credited to Paul and Linda McCartney (McCartney’s wife), were taped through Nov. 20, 1970, with overdubs and mixing completed by May 1971.
