(Saturday, November 21, 1970)Beaucoups of Blues, the second solo studio album by former Beatle Ringo Starr, peaked at #65 on today’s Billboard Top LP’s chart for one week.

The album, Starr’s first since the public break-up of The Beatles, was very far removed in style from his pop-based debut solo LP, Sentimental Journey, relying on country and western influences. A longtime fan of the genre, Starr recorded the album over three days (June 25-27, 1970) in Nashville with producer Pete Drake.
