(Saturday, March 21, 1981) — “Woman,” the second single by former Beatle John Lennon from his album Double Fantasy (with his wife, Yoko Ono), peaked at #2 on today’s Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for three consecutive weeks.

It was Lennon’s 13th appearance on the chart without The Beatles.

The track was chosen by Lennon to be the second single released from Double Fantasy and it was the first Lennon single issued after his murder by a deranged fan on Dec. 8, 1980, in New York City.
