(Saturday, July 17, 1971, late afternoon BST) — Former Beatle John Lennon expressed indignation at the British press today for calling his wife Yoko Ono “ugly” during an interview by Michael Parkinson on his British talk show Parkinson at BBC Television Centre in London for broadcast late this evening.

Earlier today, Lennon and Ono were filmed supervising the arrival of a small cottage that they had purchased the day before at their 72-acre Tittenhurst Park estate near Ascot, England.
