(Thursday, December 16, 1971, taping began at 6:00 p.m. EST) — Former Beatle John Lennon and his wife, Yoko Ono, taped an appearance on The David Frost Show tonight in New York City for broadcast in syndication on Jan. 13, 1972.

At one point, the couple got involved in a heated discussion with a pair of middle-aged audience members regarding the Attica State prison riot, and whether or not the two were glorifying the acts of the prisoners by immortalizing it in song.
