(Monday, February 7, 1972; two days before the Wings University Tour begins) — Paul McCartney’s new group Wings concluded multiple days of rehearsals for their upcoming college appearances today at the ICA (Institute Of Contemporary Arts) on the Mall in London.

Tyncho Films captured the sessions, which began Wednesday, Feb. 2, 1972, for a production the former Beatle would suitably call The ICA Rehearsal. That production would feature performances of nine songs, including “The Mess,” “Wild Life,” “Give Ireland Back To The Irish,” “Lucille” and “My Love.”

The Wings University Tour, a UK concert tour shortly after the band’s formation and initial album release, Wild Life would begin Feb. 9, 1972, at the University of Nottingham in Nottingham. It would be the first tour by any member of The Beatles since the break-up of the group in 1970.

Wings’ lineup for the tour was McCartney and his wife, Linda, Denny Laine, Henry McCullough, and Denny Seiwell.
