(Wednesday, March 8, 1972) — Former Beatle Paul McCartney and his British–American rock band, Wings, recorded “The Messtoday at Olympic Sound Studios in London, during sessions for what would become the group’s next album, Red Rose Speedway.

A live version of the song would be released on Mar. 23, 1973, as the B-side to “My Love,” but the studio version would go officially unreleased until 2018.
