(Tuesday, March 14, 1972) — Former Beatle Paul McCartney and his British–American rock band, Wings, recorded “Mama’s Little Girltoday at Olympic Sound Studios in London, during sessions for what would become the group’s next album, Red Rose Speedway.

The track would go unreleased until an Aug. 1987 mix turned up as the B-side of McCartney’s “Put It There” single in 1990. A version mixed EMI Studios, Abbey Road on Dec. 13, 1973, would be released in 2018 when Red Rose Speedway was reissued as part of Paul McCartney Archive Collection.
