(Friday, May 5, 1972, evening EDT) — Ex-Beatle John Lennon was interviewed today at the Record Plant recording studio in New York City, during an Elephants Memory mixing session, for the July 26, 1972, edition of the obscure Underground News TV show.

The program was a cable-like UHF news program broadcast in Chicago, hosted by Chuck Collins who conducted today‘s interview. The cameras also captured David Peel performing a couple of numbers.
