(Tuesday, June 6, 1972) — Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney and his new group, Wings, recorded four promotional videos for their new single “Mary Had a Little Lamb” today at BBC Television Theater in Shepherds Bush, London.

The “countryside version” debuted in the UK on June 24, 1972, on The Basil Brush Show. The “barn version” debuted five days later on Tops of the Pops in the UK.

The “psychedelic version” premiered on The Flip Wilson Show in the U.S. on Oct. 12, 1972.
