(Friday, September 15, 1972) — Former Beatle Paul McCartney and his British–American rock band, Wings, today recorded “Hold Me Tight” at EMI Studios, Abbey Road in London, during sessions for the studio album Red Rose Speedway.

The track would be mixed on Jan. 14 and Jan. 16, 1973, at EMI Studios and then released on Apr. 30, 1973, in the U.S. (May 4, 1973 in the UK) as part of a medley with “Lazy Dynamite,” “Hands Of Love,” and “Power Cut.”
