(Thursday, October 3, 1963, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. British Summer Time) — The Beatles, just back from their holiday, minus George Harrison who was still en route from his visit to the U.S., completed “Little Child” at EMI Studio 3 in London today for their second studio album With The Beatles.

With the two-track tape of “take 18” of “Little Child” from Sept. 12, 1963, being re-recorded onto another two-track machine, three attempts at simultaneously overdubbing John Lennon and Paul McCartney’s vocals for “Little Child” were performed with “take 21” being considered the best.
