(Saturday, November 24, 1973) — “Photograph” by ex-Beatle Ringo Starr peaked at #1 on today’s Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for one week.

Released as the lead single from his 1973 album Ringo, Starr co-wrote it with George Harrison, his former bandmate from The Beatles.

Although they collaborated on other songs, it is the only one officially credited to the pair.

“Photograph” was Starr’s fourth appearance on the chart as a solo artist and his first of two #1 hits on the chart (1973-1974).
