(Tuesday, April 7, 1964) — Detroit disc jockey Tom Clay dropped by the set of A Hard Day’s Night at Twickenham film studios in London today as The Beatles filmed scenes in which they rescued Ringo from the clutches of Wilfrid Brambell and the police.

While various messages for South African radio were taped in the background, Clay grabbed whichever Beatle wasn’t needed on the set and recorded interviews that were later pressed onto a pair of fan club discs.
