(Saturday, April 20, 1935, 8:00 p.m. EST) — “Soon” by Bing Crosby With Georgie Stoll and His Orchestra peaked at #1 on today’s debut Your Hit Parade weekly music chart for one week.

Your Hit Parade began tonight on NBC radio as a 60-minute program with 15 songs played in a random format before presenting the number 1 song.

Initially, the songs were more important than the singers, so a stable of vocalists went uncredited and were paid $100 per episode, equal to $2,293 in 2024.
