Video: 'The Beatles arriving at premiere movie 'Alfie', 1966'

(Monday, March 24, 1966, 9:15 p.m. BST) — The Beatles, their wives and manager Brian Epstein attended the premiere of Alfie, a British romantic comedy-drama film about an unrepentant ladies’ man who gradually begins to understand the consequences of his lifestyle, tonight at the Plaza Theatre in the West End of London.

Directed by Lewis Gilbert, the film starred Michael Caine, Shelley Winters, Millicent Martin, Vivien Merchant, Jane Asher (Beatle Paul McCartney’s girlfriend at the time) and Julia Foster.
