(Monday, May 3, 1976, 8:15 p.m. CDT) — Paul McCartney performed his first U.S. concert since The Beatles’ final concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco on Aug. 29, 1966, tonight at the Tarrant County Convention Hall in Fort Worth, Texas, where he opened the 21-city, 31-show Wings Over America leg of his British-American band’s Wings Over The World tour.
