(Thursday, May 5, 1966, 9:30 p.m.-3:00 a.m. BST) — The Beatles resumed production of their seventh studio album Revolver this afternoon at EMI Studio 3 in London.

The English rock band returned to take 11 of its Apr. 27, 1966, recording of John Lennon’s “I’m Only Sleeping” with George Harrison filling up the two remaining tracks of the four-track tape by recording two backwards guitar solos.
