(Monday, June 21, 1976, scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. PDT) — Former Beatle Paul McCartney and his band Wings performed the first of three shows tonight at The Forum in Inglewood, California (southwest of downtown Los Angeles), on the final stop of the 21-city, 31-show Wings Over America leg of his band’s Wings Over The World tour.

McCartney was joined on stage by another ex-Beatle, Ringo Starr, at the end of the show to present Paul with a bunch of flowers and then playfully picked up Paul’s guitar to play.

It was the first time that two or more ex-Beatles appeared together on a pubic stage since Aug. 29, 1966.
