Police raid Keith Richards’ English country home 50 years ago this hour #OnThisDay #OTD (Feb 12 1967)

(Sunday, February 12, 1967, just after 8:00 p.m. GMT) — British police tonight raided “Redlands,” the English country home of Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards in West Wittering, West Sussex, following a tip-off about a party from the News of the World.

No arrests were made at the time, but Richards, Rolling Stones’ lead singer Mick Jagger and art dealer Robert Fraser would subsequently be convicted of possession of drugs.
