Polk signed the Act to Establish the Territorial Government of Oregon, encompassing all of the present-day states of Idaho, Oregon and Washington, as well as those parts of present-day Montana and Wyoming west of the Continental Divide. (Monday, August 14, 1978) — To coincide with the release of the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band film, Capitol records today released the single “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”/“With a Little Help from My Friends” with “A Day In The Life” on the B-side (released in the UK on Sept. 30, 1978), 11 years after the tracks were released on the album Sgt.
