(Monday, August 14, 1978) — To coincide with the release of the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band film, Capitol records today released the single “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”/“With a Little Help from My Friends” with “A Day In The Life” on the B-side (released in the UK on Sept. 30, 1978), 11 years after the tracks were released on the album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and eight years after the group disbanded.
