(Sunday, July 25, 1971) — Former Beatle Paul McCartney and his new British-American rock band, Wings, assembled today at EMI Studios (Abbey Road) in London for a second day of recording sessions for what would become the group’s debut album, Wild Life, which would be released Dec. 3, 1971.

The band, which also included McCartney’s wife, Linda, Denny Seiwell and Denny Laine, recorded “Some People Never Know.”

The track released on the band’s debut album would be mixed on Oct. 10, 1971. A “rough mix” made on Aug. 6, 1971, would be released in 2018.
