(Wednesday, July 11, 1973, 4:00-7:00 p.m. PDT) — Non-specified overdubs for Ringo Starr’s “You and Me (Babe)” were recorded today at Producer’s Workshop in Los Angeles for the former Beatle’s first solo rock album Ringo.

Written by ex-Beatle George Harrison and the band’s former roadie, Mal Evans, the basic track was recorded March 9, 1973, at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles.

After the basic track was recorded in March 1973 at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, horn overdubs were added on May 12, 1973, at Sunset Sound and orchestral overdubs were recorded on June 29, 1973, at Warner Brothers in Burbank. Additional non-specified overdubs were added by Vini Poncia at a Producer’s Workshop session on July 10, 1973.

The Ringo album would be released Oct. 29, 1973 in the US (Nov. 9, 1973, in the UK).
