(Sunday, January 5, 1964) — During a well-earned day off from The Beatles’ Christmas Show season, George Harrison and Ringo Starr were interviewed today in London for the Jan. 12, 1964, edition of the BBC Light Programme The Public Ear.

The interview by Tony Hall was in letter form, and appeared in the radio show’s Air Mail section.

George and Ringo requested The Miracles’ “I’ve Been Good To You,” and George revealed that his favorite singers included Mary Wells, The Miracles and Marvin Gaye.
