(Thursday, August 18, 1966, approximately 3:45 p.m. EDT) — The Beatles arrived at Boston’s Logan International Airport today to the screams of 300 fans on the seventh stop of the band’s third (and what would turn out to be their last) American tour.

The entourage, escorted by a dozen Boston motorcycle cops, was driven directly to the historic Somerset Hotel, where the British rock music band would check in before tonight’s concert at the Suffolk Downs racetrack in East Boston.

Before the show, The Beatles were interviewed by Jim Stagg at Logan Airport (Paul) and at the Somerset Hotel (George) in Boston and Bess Coleman (the group separately) at the Somerset.
