(Wednesday, June 24, 1970; during sessions for All Things Must Pass) — George Harrison began recording tracked “Let It Down” and “Hear Me Lord” for his triple-disc album All Things Must Pass, Harrison’s first release as a solo artist following the break-up of The Beatles, today in London.

The eighth take of “Let It Down” and “Hear Me Lord” would be treated with overdubs during additional sessions for the album, which continued through October 1970.
